Placing an Order

Do I have to create an account to shop online with Alter ?

No, you don’t have to. Actually, you can place an order and check out as a visitor every time. Yet, when you create an account, it facilitates your future purchases as your personal details are already saved.

How do I setup an account ?

Please go to “Login/Register” then click on “Create an Account” and fill in your personal information.

I can’t add items to my shopping cart, what could be the issue?

This means that the item is not available or out of stock. Also, sometimes the item will appear to be temporarily unavailable because it’s in the shopping cart of another customer who hasn’t yet checked out. So we advise you to recheck this item in a while to make sure if it got sold or not.

How do I place an order ?

After you browse through our shop, select the items you need and add them to the shopping cart. Once you are done, go to the shopping cart, and fill in any needed details (i.e. payment method, address).  Always revise the items in terms of quantity and size and review your personal information before checking out.

How will I know if my order is confirmed ?

When you place an order, you receive an email confirming it. On the other hand, you can always track your order status through “My Account” in case you are a registered customer.

What are the payment methods available ?

Meanwhile, all our local orders get paid in cash upon delivery.

Is it possible to amend and/or cancel my order ?

This is only doable within 2 hours of placing your order in the first place. Please send us an email on help@alterathlete.com with your order number in the subject line and we will see how we can assist you, if possible.

Shipment & Delivery

How long does it take to process my order ?

Orders get processed within 3 to 5 working days. Please note that this time frame excludes weekends and public holidays. Also time stated is based on Cairo Local Time.

How long will it take for me to get my order ?

The typical courier delivery time frame is approximately 5 working days from the time you place your order. Yet, this is only valid for local deliveries. For international deliveries, the time frame is decided upon several factors and to be clearly communicated case by case.

Is it doable to change my shipping address after my order got confirmed ?

Unfortunately, we can’t amend anything once the order got confirmed. Therefore, kindly specify the shipping address of convenience when placing your order at the first place.

I have received my order and there is a missing item, what should I do?

We apologize for this inconvenience. Please contact our after sales service team at help@alterathlete.com and we will handle the matter as soon as we can.

I need to specify specific hours to be able to receive my package. What should I do ?

When placing your order, please specify in the comment section of your order the time frame you prefer for receiving your order. We will make sure to notify our couriers. For any further assistance, please contact our after sales service team at help@alterathlete.com

I have received a wrong item, what should I do?

Product Details

Will Alter “treated polyester and nylon” products repel all kinds of fluids and stains?

Alter products are not stain-free, but they are stain resistant. Our products repel water-based liquids better than oil-based ones.

What are the washing instructions?

Please wash all Alter’s apparel with cold water (at 30 degrees) using mild detergents without adding any bleaching ingredients. Ensure that you are following all the specified wash care instructions to avoid unnecessary damage to your apparel.

Will washing my apparel affect its repelling feature?

Alter’s apparel won’t require washing as much as regular garments. The repelling feature allows Alter’s apparel to repel sweat and any other fluids with very high competence. Actually, it takes a very long time and multiple washes for the repelling feature to fade away and even after you would still enjoy wearing a good looking garment.

Refund and Exchange

I have received my order, is it possible to refund or exchange it?

You can request to return or exchange your order within 7 days after receiving your order through our courier company, but the order has to be in its initial packaging and the tag attached.

Only in the case of a defective product, the customer will be fully refunded. If the customer wants to return the product for any other reason, then we will only return the product’s price excluding the shipping fees.
